How to Add Custom Headers & Footers to Accounting Documents?

Adding custom headers (or letterheads) and footers to your accounting documents is an excellent way to enhance your brand presence.

It not only makes your documents look more professional but also ensures consistency across all your invoices,  quotations, and other accounting documents.

Let's see how to add custom headers and footers to your accounting documents:

Step 1: Navigate to the Document PreviewAfter saving any accounting document (like an invoice, quotation, or any other document ), you’ll be redirected to the “Document Preview” page. In this section, you’ll find the option to “Customize Document Design”:

Step 2: Add Your Letterhead

Under the Customize Document Design section, you’ll see the option ‘Add Letterhead and Footer’. Here, you can upload your custom headers (letterheads) and Footers:

Tips for Uploading:

Ensure your image file size is under 500KB.
We recommend using an image with a resolution of 1000 x 200px for optimal display.

Once you upload your header image, you’ll have the option to either crop the image or upload it as shown below. Select your preference and click Save Cropped Image:

Similarly, you can add your footer as well.

Step 3: Preview Your Document

Once both the header and footer are uploaded, you can preview how they appear on the document. This will allow you to confirm that everything looks as expected:

That’s it! Adding a letterhead and footer to your accounting document is that easy!

The best part? Refrens will automatically add them to your future accounting documents as well to avoid manual efforts from your end!  (You can edit/remove them if needed)
